How is your donation used?

Josephine County Search and Rescue is a volunteer based organization.  The majority of funds are provided through community member donations and through fundraising. FOS is also awarded grants from various sources. Funds are raised by the non-profit, Friends of Josephine County Search and Rescue.

The mission of the Friends of Josephine County Search and Rescue is to raise money for JoCoSAR. Friends of Josephine County Search and Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit. Donations to the SAR Foundation are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Friends of Josephine County Search and Rescue's tax EIN is: 31-1082256.

Donations to Friends of Josephine County Search and Rescue are used in a variety of ways. Below are some ways in which 2022 donations were utilized:

  • First Aid Supplies

  • Rappelling and safety equipment

  • Side by side snow team vehicle

  • Training

  • K-9 helicopter rappelling harness

  • Vehicle tires and maintenance 

  • Supplies for the UAV team

  • Dive Equipment
