About FOS

The Friends of Josephine County Search and Rescue (FOS) is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes. The Corporation's purpose is to financially support the mission of the Josephine County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue Division in its activities as required under Oregon Revised Statute Chapter 404. Additionally, the Corporation shall exist to heighten public education and awareness about the mission of the Search and Rescue Division within Josephine County and surrounding areas.

SAR Teams

There are a variety of SAR specialty teams that one may volunteer to serve on.

Volunteer

SAR is an all volunteer organization. SAR is a highly demanding yet highly rewarding volunteer experience, both in terms of training and actual missions. There are physical requirements for certain specialties and training is available for a variety of teams.

Donate

Your generous donation helps provide SAR team members with certification training and education to maintain the highest professional standards. Your donations also go toward purchasing and maintaining equipment. All donations are managed by the 501(c)(3), Friends of Josephine County Search and Rescue.
